I have lost the Grub Screw on a few of my Brand X Posts now, and they are un-usable and in storage.

The grub screw is the screw which goes through the lever to clamp the cable.

Does anyone know where I can buy some spare grub screws for this post ?

They're the same as for flat pedals.

Bin worthy 😁, definitely not fixable.

If either is 31.6 and 170+ then send them to me to dispose of them responsibly!

If not then eBay grub screws work well!

I bought a lifetime supply of grub screws: has been handy a few times so far - including on my brand-X lever.
https://www.screwfix.com/p/easydrive-grub-screw-selection-case-350-pcs/7887j?_requestid=578113

Although my email says it was way cheaper than that when I paid!

Smaller set - and cheaper:

For some reason the Amazon link doesnt work: search for

I found another screw of the same diameter, measured the length required using a steel rule and went to my local hardware store (FWB in Stoke on Trent) and they just gave me half a dozen.

They have stores in Wrexham and Truro too if you're near. Anywhere like that can help.

Well I found this:
It has all the above except the M2.5:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Screws-Stainless-Thread-Socket-Assortment/dp/B07RV2SFX6

Will this include the type of Grub Screw on the Brand X ?

Just stick a metric hex wrench or something you know the size of in.

That won't work because the mm measurement is across the width of the thread, (major diameter on diagram below) if you put an Allen Key in the hole it'll be undersize, closer to the minor diameter.

You don’t even need to remove the grub screw from the black barrel...., unless you mean you are losing the black barrel & grub screw?

Sounds like you need a magnetic bowl for putting these small parts when your working on your bike.

Sorry .. correct should have been more explicit.
From experience you can tell near enough (so long as you know if its metric or not and its not a weird thread) [I'm pretty sure the Brand X is metric and 2.5 OR 3 but without getting wet I can't say for certain)

If a 2.5 goes all the way in its a 3mm... if it only goes up to the end and you can get a 2mm in it's a 3mm.

You can also just try some lock on bolts grip you know the size of.

I've put loads of time into this, no matter how much I sell these for now if I ever get them working I've put in too many hours for it to be worth it...

I'm really retarded when it comes to stuff like this, someone's going to have to give me more of a clue than this as to what I need

Recently bought a thread measurement tool off AliExpress for few quid.
Good addition to the tool kit👍
I Should now be able to negate the MTB premium that the companies put on theses items.

We run three different types of post. Specialized, Brand X and X Fusion. Use the Command lever and so use the barrel nut at the post end. Each one is a different zize.
Fingers crossed not managed to lose on yet.

@grannyjone I think you might struggle to find one. I just measured a grub screw from a brand x lever and it measure around 4mm but it isn't m4 because an m4 bolt wont screw into the barrel nut whereas an old imperial bolt that I have will screw in. So I think it is an imperial thread, just not sure which one. As others have said, there are various better levers out there on the market and it will be quicker/easier and better to just buy one of those.
