Not the most imaginative of edits, just a five-minute excerpt of some of the stuff we rode this weekend. The dirt is Spring fresh 🙂

p.s. best viewed on a smallish screen or from a distance... the file has been compressed loads, so resolution a bit rubbish

Roll on July...

What trails were those? Didn't recognise much of it.

How are the lyrics now? Behaving themselves?

The footage itself is perfectly ok. It's just that FB compresses it a *lot* for a 300 pixel-wide view. Will try youtube if I get a sec.

Hi Mark, yes you'll be riding most if not all of that lot at some point during your week here 🙂

Where is the snow line at the moment? Headed out there at the end of May/start of June and hoping we'll be able to take in some of the higher up stuff (~ 2500 m)

You won't be able to ride at 2500m at the end of May / start of June, not a chance I'm afraid.

Snowline totally depends on aspect and exact locality (and also depends on if you're talking about smatterings of fresh snow or piles of old stuff)... it's between 1100m and 1400m right now.

What's your Facebook page called Ash? I've done a search for Trail Addiction and nothing is coming up. I hope you'll be showing us lot's of these nice trails in the 1st week of August (I was in touch with you a while back, my wife and i are staying in Bourg, but i'll be booking a few days riding with you guys)

Hmmm ok. That contradicts what I've been told before, are you basing that on the snow this year or experience of previous years? Not talking about Les Arcs as such, more towards the Mt Jovet area. I suppose it doesn't need to be completely clear, a smattering isn't likely to make too much difference to the riding

Theres a few trails there that I don't recognise, I'd love to have a go of them. Will anyone fund my trip down there? Anyone? No? Ah well, worth a try!

person in front of you should be reminded that skids are for kids.

seen trails in that exact area ruined by people skidding through them, over the past 6 years.

Those are our names for those 3 trails - good eye Nick!

Cool vid Ash, always the best trails for snow-free Spring riding! Monday was for snowboarding though, might have been my best day of the season.

willsimmons - I'd agree with Ash. You might be OK on Mont Jovet as it's south-facing, but in general 2500m will be a no-go in late May.

"trailaddiction" (one word) should do it... have a look - there's a better resolution version of the above video there

I basing this on experience from the past 7 or 8 seasons. I think that planning to go Mont Jovet summit area in late May/early June is *very* optimistic. To avoid slush, very muddy trails, etc... you're going to need several weeks in a row of very warm weather between now and then. Saying that, there probably isn't quite as much snow accumulation this year as the last two seasons, so you may get lucky.

markfu - try this link, i think the trailaddiction group isn't searchable unless you aren't already a member / have been a customer with tA before.....

....or know someone who IS a member who is stupidly naive enough to post the link on a public forum...... 😉 We're all friends here, aren't we?!

(sneaks away hoping no-one notices I was ever here)
