Any recommendations for a new rear wheel. Must be fixed one side, free the other, for road commuting.

Off the shelf if possible (to keep costs down)

Thanks

Halo AeroTrack or AeroRage?

About £70 off the shelf...

Just remember you can use freewheels on double fixed hubs, so fixed/fixed and fixed/free hubs are both usable if you want to run a freewheel as well as a fixed cog.

A quick google provides some varying reviews on those.
Anyone any views?
Any others to consider?

a rim of your choice laced to a goldtech hub - best hub available.

I would recommend the Halo Aeroage, got a fixed/free combination around Christmas time. Using for mixtre of road and bridleway type riding. Has stayed true dispite my clumsy riding style and bearings are smooth. Winstaleys were doing them for about £70

Yeah mine came from Winstanleys - it's withstood 4 months of commuting over potholes so far...time will tell...
