Orbea Kemen SUV 30 Hybrid E-Bike 2022 – Large in black

Brilliantly practical e-bike with some fantastic features and equipment that makes it so practical and useful. Orbea really thought through the specification and it’s telling how the following years model were value engineered with downgraded suspension forks and group set.

Well looked after and maintained. A few minor rub marks on the frame from bags and shoes.

Full power Shimano EP8 Motor, with a custom 540w/h battery

Full Deore 10 speed Linkglide groupset recently part overhauled. Less than 100km on the new cassette, chainring and chain. Works really well on an ebike with plenty of range from the 11-43 cassette.

Marzocchi Z2 fork with 100mm travel and Rail damper. Simple to set up and perfect for this type of bike.

Magura hydraulic brakes with a 203mm front rotor. Superstar Sintered pads.

Brand X dropper fitted to help manoeuvre the bike when fully loaded and when riding more technical terrain.

Fully integrated Lezyne lights. Front is a 310 lumen STVZO light with dip function and remote handlebar button. Rear is a reactive LED that shine brighter when the bike senses deceleration. Also features a daytime running LED within the headset that really helps with visibility. All light have separate switches.

Orbea Mudguards, which actually work pretty well on the 2.25 tyres and don’t rattle off road.

Wheels are OEM Orbea rims on Shimano centrelock hubs. I’ve fitted 2.25 Vittoria Terreno tyres which are excellent fast-rolling gravel tyres that make it much easier to ride over the 25.5kph speed limit on the motor. Set up Tubless. The OEM Schwalbe Johnny Watts would be hard going trying to ride over the motor.

Heavy Duty MIK HD rear rack rated to a 27kg max load. This has Ortieb QL3.1 compatibility for use with their latest luggage system.

I occasionally use a 25 litre Basil Crate which simply clips in using the MIK quick mount system. Handy for using compatible child seats etc.

Specialized Bridge Saddle, Ergon grips and Superstar resin pedals.

Bought brand new from Sigma Sport in December 2022. It’s currently showing 1250 km on the odometer. I did have the motor replaced under warranty in June 2024, when the bike was on approx. 3500 km. Bike has been flawless since the motor was replaced and the latest Shimano Firmware has really helped with the smoothness on/off the assistance and max power!

I’m only selling because I’m not commuting any more or using it for nursery runs. Was surprisingly one of my favourite bikes. As a flat bar gravel bike it’s amazingly capable. I’d regularly get 70-90km of range from a charge or on hillier weeks, 900-1100m of ascent for about 50km range. For a ‘smaller’ 540wh battery that is very good and the fast tyres really help keep off the assistance on the flat.

Sold as seen in the photographs, but can also supply – if wanted – the basil 30l create with MIK adapter for a few quid more (worth £50 new), a child seat (1-4yrs).

Collection from Dorking, Surrey or by arrangement in central London.
