For sale is my dream build carbon Rocky Mountain Element, that weighs 10.99kg/ 24.22lbs (the weightweenie way without pedals) or 11.34kg/ 25.00lbs with Look X-Track pedals.
I built this up as a treat after many years exclusively riding rigid singlespeed. The intention was to have the most capable all-rounder, so the decisions were based around being as light as possible without compromising speed and practicality. For example, I could have gone with a Stepcast Fox 34 but wanted the better-performing and more adjustable Grip2 damper and the benefit of the much bigger tyre/ mud clearance. Clean cable routing that is a breeze to fit, tons of tyre clearance in the frame, loads of room in the front triangle for packs or bottles… it is beautifully designed.
As it is now, it is a massively capable XC/ Marathon bike, and with a riser bar and stickier rubber you have a very fun trail bike. I will include a One-UP carbon riser bar with the sale.
The vast majority of the bike is brand new and totally unridden (including frame, fork, wheels, brakes, etc).
I paid over £7000 to build this, even with bargain hunting. Every part is tuned and blinged to the max, despite the subdued first glance look (Ti bolts everywhere, carbon levers and clamps on the brakes, 3D printed AXS paddle upgrades, etc). Selling for £3750, with collection from the Bath area.
I am only selling due to health issues in the family. Please email watlingdaniel [at] gmail [dot] com
Loved by Pinkbike and all publications, but the most detailed review I have found is here:
If you are wondering what it lacks compared to the newest Element the answer only the rear triangle changed so is it is a bit more heavy, but the suspensions should work better compared to the new one- otherwise they are virtually identical:
