Rick Hamilton shares his popular peanut butter squares recipe, having fuelled the Slymefoot Slide route with them. I got this recipe from my friend Louise. These are fabulously dense and calorific trail snacks, perfect for mountaineering and mountain biking. Nobody complains if you take them to the pub, either.     I love peanut butter and chocolate. That looks amazing and a blindingly obvious idea, why did I not think of this/find the recipe sooner!

    Looks excellent, although as I’m not a huge fan of digestive biscuit bases, I’ll be substituting them with Lotus Biscoffs instead when I make it very shortly

    This recipe from Nigella Lawson’s Domestic Goddess book for Reese-like peanut butter squares is delicious.

    Though a biscuit base sounds more portable.

    I made this the other night and it’s really nice. I never make stuff like this and I liked doing it.
