Christmas Countdown Day 1 – Win Guy Martin’s Proper Cleaner

by 10

Welcome to Day One of our big Goodbye to 2020, Hello to 2021, Advent/Christmas/New Year Daily Countdown Giveaway. Today, as with every day in our GHACNYDCG, you have two chances to win. Let’s see what it is today – a Christmas pressie straight from Mr Chops himself – Guy Martin Proper!

Guy Martin Proper Cleaner and Degreaser Bumper Pack

While there are plenty of bike cleaners and degreasing sprays around, Guy Martin and his bike cleaning elves have found a way to really do it differently. The biggest difference is that the Proper Cleaner and Proper Degreaser don’t start life as bottles full of coloured fizz, or even of concentrated liquid. Instead of shipping kilos of water around the world, Proper Cleaner comes as an empty squirty bottle and a sachet featuring a couple of ‘pellets’ of powdered concentrate. You add your own water and pop in one of the sachets where it dissolves instantly and leaves you with a bottle full of Proper Cleaner or Proper Degreaser. It means that when you’ve run out, you just need to order a new sachet of concentrate, which is easier, simpler and cheaper to ship to your door. Simple!

How do I enter?

Log in to reveal the entry form in this story and answer the question you’ll find there. The answer you seek will be in the video below.

Answering the daily question gives you two chances to win: you’ll be entered into the daily draw for that day’s prize, like this from Guy Martin Proper; and you’ll also get one entry into the Megasack draw.

Every time you correctly answer a daily question and enter a daily draw, you get another entry into the Megasack. You can go back and enter the daily answers after that daily prize has been drawn, and it will still give you an extra entry into the Megasack draw.

You weren’t kidding about the number of takes 😉
All the jump cuts were making me twitch!

It’d be even more eco-friendly if Guy didn’t make all the empty bottles for it to go in. He could market it as sachets only and re-use your existing bottle. Just sayin’…

privacy policy and T&Cs are a bit circular 🙂

Please don’t keep the jumping and umpteen takes – Atherton’s tried it and failed miserably and this is hurting my teeth watching it…a few jumps would be fine but every few seconds is really hurting.
Good to see Chipps in front of the camera again though, so that is a positive.

    @jim
They do sell just the sachets as well

@Jim – as Ian says, there’s nothing to stop you buying sachets and using an old squirty bottle of your own.
Mark’s obviously been trimming out all of my ‘ums’ and ‘errs’… I’ll try to be more of a one take wonder next time. (Actually, it was one take. I just need to um and err less…)

But my point is there’s no need for them to produce any bottles – just sell the sachets only.

Presumably you’d need to somehow acquire a bottle with spray trigger to apply the wash to your bike.

I have a Muc Off one that’s probably ten years old. I have a few old gardening ones knocking about. I use whatever is in the garage or garden shed if they’re clean. I buy fluid in concentrate to decant into these. Chicken and egg I suppose. You need a bottle to begin with. So I get why the brand would make them available. But I was assuming most of us will have a suitable bottle lying about if we’re already using bike cleaning products.
