Just over a week ago, the Tweed Valley played host to its first standalone international-level enduro event. As part of TweedLove, which has grown to become the UK’s biggest cycling festival, organisers set out to establish the Shimano TweedLove International Enduro as a must-ride event on the national and global calendar- without last year’s Enduro World Series designation.
Our man on the ground Richard Lane reported “rain all weekend, light showers on Saturday with sun on Sunday, light showers all day Sunday with heavy downpours over over night on Saturday. It seemed that every time you checked the forecast it changed.” Sounds about right.
A challenging-but-enjoyable course and the UK’s biggest prize purse certainly won’t hurt the event’s reputation, nor will the busy expo area or support of the Tweed community. For a detailed recap, hop on back to last week’s coverage– otherwise sit back and enjoy the video!
