Marin – venerable, Californian, and frankly, looking to their roots. Those of you with long memories might remember a time when the Eldridge Grade (for example) came in a grey colour-scheme and a matching fork – well, lookee here!
Marin Pine Mountain
Retro, yet forward looking. Impressive. This is the Pine Mountain 1. The (not quite as prevalent as we were expecting) 27.5+ wheels, and the retro touches seem to be doing the business on the Marin stand. Check out the seatpost clamp! It’s BACK TO THE NINETIES! But if you want to lower your saddle in a hurry, you’ll need a dropper – there’s no provision for a QR. But it’s a bargain-tastic £750! Wowzers. Here’s the Pine Mountain 2. Better spec, bouncy fork (yay!) bouncy wheels, and some internal dropper and other cable routing……in a semi-transparent finish which shows off the brazing. Looks good. Made from Columbus Thron tubing, too. Sweet. Bendy seat-tube for clearance. One by only. And a more modern seatpost clamp. It’s got a KS Lev dropper post, too. Here’s a pic of a retro Marin, just because. Check out the Mag21 fork! Love the colourscheme of the Mount Vision Pro – very Gulf.

How much is the pine mountain 1 that looks awesome, almost bought one of those many years ago in that colour scheme but had the Kona Lavadome instead, a nice half fat would just go well in the stable.
Pine Mountain 1 is 750.
That Pine Martin, are those STEEL tubes?
