No Music, No Slo-mo. Just Riding, But Really Fast

No Music, No Slo-mo. Just Riding, But Really Fast

We have all become accustomed to thrashy metal soundtracks and super slo-mo in all our video clip consumption of late. We certainly have. We’ve even been known to use both effects ourselves. With three amateur bedroom guitarists and even a drummer in the office, we aren’t shy of picking up an ‘axe’ and trying to knock out some royalty free riffs for our bike test video clips. So ubiquitous has the thrash slo-mo sequence become that when you do see a natural clip of fast riding with nothing but the sound of tyres on trail it makes you sit up, put Twitter to one side for a few minutes and watch in awe.

We challenge you not to react that way to this..

Singletrack Owner/Publisher

Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.
