Models for big, normal, and lady faces…
While Smith’s Pivlock series of glasses have long been favourites for their light weight and unobstructed frameless construction, the company realised that there was still room for improvement and has launched the interchangeable-lens concept’s third generation. The Pivlock Arena and larger Arena Max have been updated to improve overall fit and reduce optical distortion. To that end, the lenses are flatter than before, and have been re-shaped to improve airflow and reduce fogging.
The first- and second-generations’ long arms have earned a reputation for not always playing well with others’ helmets- the new models have temples shortened to avoid interference with low-hanging retention systems.
For the first time, ladies get a model tailored to their needs. The Asana features a less-angular shape and goes without temple grippers, preventing tangling with long hair. Not overtly feminine, there’s no reason why long-haired boys shouldn’t consider the option.
