Remember that $450 (£270) floor pump from about a month back?  In the US yesterday, National Public Radio’s All Things Considered aired a story about the Italian brand’s sale and subsequent Indianian rebirth.  The discussion with new owner Joshua Poertner, formerly Technical Director at Zipp, is an interesting one, covering the details of the design.

  1. I boycotted Silca this year after they changed the internal diameter of their pumps 10 years ago, without consulting me, rendering spares availability for my 18yo pump nil. The swine!
