Backcountry Pyrenees Mountain BIke Trip
This trail is one of the days on our Backcountry Pyrenees tour, which takes in some of the remote pre-Pyrenees trails using plenty of van uplift. This day uses several van uplifts as we traverse through a really remote area of Guara. After each uplift we descend on pristine, rocky singletrack alternating between flat out and trialsy and at the bottom of the valley we meet the van again to take us up to our next peak. Our final descent drops us at a remote hostal where we spend that night.
The trails in this part of Guara are all about big rocky carpets which offer multiple line choices, natural jumps and berms mixed up with complicated rocky sections and difficult switchbacks.

Sun and volcanos, what’s not to like?
Sunny Official Trailer
They say the lack of sunlight affects our mood- that the natural balance of the human mind state quickly shifts with presence of the giant solar fireball in the sky. But this isn’t about winter blues or summer depression. Sunny is a mental disposition, and not just one reserved for beaches and fun parks. Level 1 injected a positive mood into the ski season – giving a dose of light therapy to dark northern landscapes of Scandinavia, Alaska, Japan and British Columbia. So sit back and relax, put your shades on and soak up the rays- the future looks bright. From Level 1

Unfortunately work computers won’t let me actually watch the videos but I can still see the screen shots above – is that Dave Grohl in the Basque MTB video…?
I will tell my friend Carlos that, he´ll be delighted. Out here they call him Gimli. It is also the soles of my feet dissapearing in the background.
I watched the Spam Sandwich one first…….
Then shared it on FB…….
I still haven’t watched the other vids yet.
I think need to go out on my bike more!
That Gemmi trail must have been terrifying for 90% of the way!
Can’t remember when last I cheered a rider on in a vid. Go those BMX girls!
hey grifter me to!!
My scrotum has withered to a mere nubbin because I watched that Gemmi Pass vid. Steep!
Go those BMX girls! +1
bmx girls vid is great – rrrrrrrrrespect!
gemmi pass – impressive but kinda dull. Euro-endo switchbacks aren’t doing it for me these days. awful tune too.
beans and pork and cheese sandewich – woooooyah!
That Basque MTB vid reminded me of how ace it is to ride somewhere sunny, rocky and hilly instead of in miserable rain, and mud. I think I need to book a long weekend in Spain…
