Interbike, an insider’s view.

by 3

Jeff Lockwood, whose Interbike stories we’ve been running this past week gives a more personal view of the people that make up the big circus of Interbike.

The Interbike bicycle trade show is a spectacle of epic proportions. Not only is this annual showcase of the shiniest bikes and beautiful bits a circus in its own right, its host city is also full of shows, brightness and excitement. Yet Las Vegas, in a lot of ways, is the polar opposite of the soul of the bicycle industry. Where bicycles can take you to amazing plateaus of scenery and psyche, Las Vegas can rob you of your compassion and your cash in a blurry flash. Yet for the past 15 years, Las Vegas is where the bicycle industry has come to show, share and see. Like it or not.
