PressCamp: Scott 2011 Preview

by 8

We’ll be bringing you a deeper look at Scott’s 2011 range, but here’s a taster.

No, it's not a mountain bike, but it is one of the quickest bikes on the planet. And they're making available to the public later this year.
Love the teeth...
A great BOA equipped Scott race shoe

The Scott Scale 899... The carbon frame weighs 899g. Expect to see these going very fast next year.
This is what we're looking forward to riding. The new Scott Genius LT (Long Travel). It's a 185mm bike that weighs 28.5lbs and still goes up hill.

Much better looking bikes from Scott…Still gopping paint schemes though

Quite like the paintjobs, look fresh to me. Can I fit a Hammerschmidt to a Genius LT though?

I know its a taster and they’re looking good – but when we getting a look at the rest of the range?

where was that preview held, looks like a cross between Dr Evils underground lair and Hugh Hefners gaff
    Whats with that fireplace??

Did I say 170mm travel and 28 lbs? I meant 185mm travel and 28lbs. Yes it’ll take Hammerschmidt but only on the alloy versions. (The carbon frame’s press fit BB won’t let it)

as for the rest of the range, patience 🙂

I was gonna say, thought you may have been talking about the fork. It’s a custom lyric but can’t remember what travel, 170 or 180 or something? I reckon this bike will be a corker, proper versatile with the travel adjust. I want one to sit nicely between the xc bike and the dh rig.

899g? a fart would snap that surely?

*fat bloke wonders off muttering “slim fast” under his breath*

just seen pics of the 949 29er…….. looks awesome.
