ATG Training’s Park Tool School course is designed for bike fans and those responsible for looking after other people’s cycles. The two-day course enables participants to gain a good level of ability and confidence in carrying out basic bike repairs and servicing.
Run by qualified, experienced instructors who are themselves cycling enthusiasts, the course involves lots of demonstrations, practical exercises and above all plenty of fun. The atmosphere is relaxed, all the tools are laid on and there are bikes to practice on; so there’s no danger of damaging your own pride and joy while you learn.
Covering both roadside repairs and much of the maintenance you might otherwise hand over to a bike shop, the Park Tool School course can save money by teaching learners how to carry out basic repairs and routine servicing. For trickier tasks, course attendees will have a much better understanding of when they really do need to wheel in the experts.
The course curriculum is designed by the Park Tool company. Their ‘Big Blue Book’ is included in the price of the course. At the booking stage, you can ask ATG Training to cover particular areas of interest and instructors will tailor the course to provide the maximum benefit to you.
ATG Training has a brand new Cycle Academy for aspiring home mechanics in Aylesbury and a second centre in Manchester near the Velodrome.
The two day courses cost: £250 including VAT. Call 0161 230 6241 for course dates and to book
