Time to head to your Ma and Pa or a good friends.

...by good breeding

Unless he was dating a Spaniel, I don't know if that should be a concern.

Time to head to your Ma and Pa or a good friends.

Agreed. Get on the rebound....erm...hang on.

Yep, long term and a little fella. Not sure what to feel right now. Mashed is probably the polite term.

Spaniel's ears are a way to see a lot about the breeding.

*Edit -Please accept my heart felt apologies, OP, was thinking this deserved banter. It clearly doesn't, given your post re a little chap. Fingers crossed that you can make the best of this situation.

Am in the pub but it doesn't feel right. My duty is to my son's wellbeing so I'll be heading back after this one.

It's a shite night for me as I have contracted the bloody man flu winter bug yesterday while shopping for presents.

Now my entire body aches and my head is spinning with very bad sore throat ...

Haven't eaten anything proper yet as I could hardly open my eyes.

What's for you won't go by you. Bad news though. I'm sat in a dark room in my inlaws, singing flower of Scotland to a screaming 8 week old while they (edit: by "they" I mean the adults!) eat the best meat and drink the best wine. I hate Christmas with passion. I have been singing for at least an hour.

Christ - that's a shitty thing to do.

Until your long term/chap comment I was going to ask if the pair of you were teenagers.

If I was in your situation it'd make it easier for me - At least I would be acting like an adult and not being so flippant over something like this.

Your're well out of it, keep the moral high ground, don't get drunk and do something daft (but getting drunk and maudlin is cool). Despite any bollocks from her always keep access to your kid as the number one, so nothing stupid that she can bring up later to make you look a baby fish.

if you need a break I'll show you the trails around dublin.

one of my baby mothers needs to see a doctor, pronto, escalating illness, coughing, short of breath etc, went to the doctors earlier, they sent her for a chest x-ray which she went to, but there was a queue, then rang me from tescos to tell me this,

get here 2 hours ago and she has drove me crackers with the coughing, seriously, i could do her in,

flat out refuses to go to a&e as she's pretty sure they will admit her,

doing, my, head, in

Sounds like a few of us are in a similar boat. I hope you get things sorted.

Only had a couple in the pub last night so returned home and kept it civil.

Little fella super excited and on good form. Feeling mightily ****** off myself though. Seriously considering taking her presents back. Would expect her to do the same.

Ggrrhh.

Take a huge shit in all of her pressies then re wrap them. Childish I know but nothing compared to a dumping via text on chrimbo eve!

Thinking of you fella, hope the little in doesn't have a clue and still has a great day.

Seems to be a very common occurance 2 people i know got dumped on christmas eve a few years ago, and they also knew quite a few that had got dumped.

Perhaps good christmas reading would be , Men are from Mars, women are from Venus.

So sad for the child, but best of luck for you all.

Where are you in the UK, OP? I imagine there will be a STW agent available in your area, to take you out for a pie and a pint.

They make surprisingly good listeners.

Agree with Jamie, the kindness of strangers etc. Could even be combined with a ride. I mean this is a bike site occasionally isn't it?

My ex did this in 2011 so you have my sympathy. I got back with her stupidly after Christmas. But she cheated again may 2012. Got with my work collegue and we're getting married next year.

Get to your parents, close friends stuff your face have a drink and look to the future. Selfish, weak bitch doing it by text.

I've been in a similar situation. Shitty thing to do. Of course you probably feel very angry about this right now. It will pass eventually. And you will meet the awesome woman you deserve one day. It's hard to take in at the time, but you're better off without someone who'd pull a ****'s trick like that on you.
Hope you're ok, OP.

Good for you - going to the inlaws. Not so sure I could have done that.

Has she told inlaws of the situation?

Tough times, very obnoxious behaviour by her. I signed my divorce settlement a few days before Christmas but it was a relief to get that part behind me, my only regret is not having done this 5 or more years ago. I imagine right now things look quite dark but the future is what you make of it. Time to move on, you have your son and it's you and he who are the priorities now.

Timing - appalling.
Method - disgraceful.

OP - she sounds like a real piece of work. I can't believe that somebody would do that.

Take care of yourself and Spacemonkey Junior.

For me, the crux of the issue is it's ok to dump someone by text if your 14. Not when you're an adult with a kid. People break up, it's just one of the facts of life, but there are ways of doing things.

Disgusting behaviour by her. Good luck!

Oh dear, that's awful. Individually, the timing and the method are bad enough, but together... that sucks.

(I wonder what was the catalyst that inspired this at this time).

Good luck for the future.

Got dumped once on boxing day! So couldn't take gifts back and didn't take it well but I was a lot younger then.

See if you can swap her presents to buy her a spine or a turd in a box!

Very poor form on her part but your probably better out of it mate and sounds like your handling it.

Hope you have a great 2014 and meet someone special when you are ready.
