    Afternoon,

Why do white parts command a premium price? case in point, Halo Freedon rims on CRC, white over black = £6 more expensive?? I've noticed it alot recently, same model of handlebar, white = £10 more than the black one?

Is white paint more expensive? Or is it just cause it's shinier as it were??

Black is usually anodised, which is presumably cheaper.

for some reason my white brake set was on offer and less than a black set…
I do feel a tiny bit embarrassed of the bling effect occasionally

    Oh and the fashion tax.

I know in our case (Race Face) the white products we offer are powder coated which is a more expensive process to perform on bike products to a high standard than anodising is.

As well as being more expensive, white parts are (mostly/often?) heavier due to the white layer. Some are a lot heavier than you might think
