I had a wobbly front wheel, and discovered that grit had got into the hub and (I assumed) caused pitting and irregularities on the bearings.
I've just been to my lbs and got a set of bearings from them. These ones too are a bit pitted.
Was I wrong in assuming that the bearings on my wheel were shot, or has my lbs sold me a duff set of bearings?

The latter. They should be perfectly shiney.
