Amflow PR Carbon Pro
- Price: ยฃ5,399
- From: Amflow Bikes

This is (almost) the bike that (almost) everyone is interested in. Whilst it is not the eyecatching/jawdropping ยฃ3,999 build, it is still a decent value for money eeb. For those not 100% au fait with the Amflow-Avinox hypetrain, this is the Amflow with a removable battery. Unlike the Amflow PX Carbon which has a non-removable internal battery. What is the same on this Pro spec of the PR is the motor (the MS2 with peak 130Nm, 1500w). Which, crucially or not, the ยฃ3,999 PR does not come with; the ยฃ3,999 PR ‘only’ comes with the Avinox M2 motor (peak 125Nm, 1100w). Anyways, any Amflow has more power than necessary so it’s somewhat a moot point in my opinion. The PR we have here ships with a 800Wh battery. We have asked for the 600Wh battery as well (to get the weight down) and also the 600Wh range extender (to attempt some ridonkulous rides with). Hopefully those items will arrive soon.
Truflo Electron Max Electric Pump
- Price: ยฃ54.99
- From: Freewheel

Yet more electric pumping! As you can see, this hefty number is not for taking with you on rides. It’s more of a replacement for a track pump or even a mini compressor. It comes with a 12v car power lead also, as taking/keeping it in your car sounds like a pretty good idea for this thing. It can also act as a powerbank too. In use, it doesn’t seem any quicker (nor quieter) than a regular pocketsize electric pump so it’s really the extra battery capacity and car function stuff that is its USP.
Bryton Rider 650 GPS
- Price: ยฃ199.99
- From: Extra UK

As someone who can seemingly no longer operate devices that aren’t touchscreen, I’m eager to try this 2.8in touchscreen GPS from Bryton for following/navigating a preloaded-in route. Features: ambient light sensor, quick status menu, turn-by-turn navigation with OSM maps, training stuff, ebike-friendly (assist level, battery status, gear selection etc), customisable function key. 2.8in colour touch screen. 92g. Size 84.5 x 56.8 x 16mm.
Ibis back in UK
- Price: ยฃTBA
- From: Tweed Valley Bikes

Hurray! No more receiving emails from Ibis Cycles USA with interesting-looking bikes only to receive radio silence whenever we inquire about getting hold of one to review. Which Ibis models tickle your fancy? Aside from the Ripley SL, obvs. I do quite like the sound of the Oso eeb (even if its looks aren’t quite to everyone’s taste!)

Sometimes you just have to take photos inside, and under a controlled lighting environment. And that’s what we’ve got these in for. This way we can pretend we have posh wooden floorboards or unbelievably expensive kitchen counter tops.

Singletrack Magazine Strava Club
- Price: ยฃ0.00
- From: Strava
The existing ‘unofficial’ Forumites Strava club appears to have quietened down a bit so I thought we should kick off an official STW Strava club. As our profile on it proudly states: “The world’s biggest clique. Possibly the world’s least competitive Strava club.” Drop by. Say hello. Fling some kudos. All that sorta jazz.
Stale Goods Friday – 2016 Ibis Mojo 3
- Price: ยฃ2,649 frame (or ยฃ3,739.90 in today’s money)
- From: Fresh Goods Friday 299

Ye olde blathere: “This Ibis Mojo 3 accompanied Chipps on his recent trip to PressCamp in Utah, which is why itโs still covered in dust โ he was planning on lacquering over it to keep it permanently on thereโฆ The new Mojo 3 is just starting to appear and importers 2Pure have frames in stock (full builds coming soon). The Mojo 3 is a 27.5in wheeled bike, with room for anything up to a 2.8in tyre in there on Ibisโ own wide rims. The bike uses Dave Weagleโs DW Link suspension to give 130mm rear travel. Up front weโve got a Boost Rockshox Pike with 2.8in Nobby Nics giving supreme traction (in the dry anyway). If youโre not a Plusser, then you can run regular 2.3in tyres (for the same BB height on the same rims Ibis claims).”

genuinely not fussed by the amflow (or any ebike tbh) ‘im obviously a luddite but a bit depressing that most of the items in fgf today have batteries
I used to think those Ibis Mojo’s were the best looking bikes.
I’ve changed.
Yeah, same
I had one of those Mojos. My first Ibis. At one point I had three of them! Absolutely loved that bike. It was so much fun to ride and I was full on board the plus tyre hype cycle! Had a brilliant trip to Spain on it. Definitely improved my riding. Replaced eventually with a RipMo which was – in almost all areas – a better bike, but I dunno that Mojo just had something special!
Which Ibis Oso are you referring to, I would agree that the first iteration looked terrible, however, the newly released Oso looks pretty good with settings to take the travel from 130 to 160.
I have been lucky to have owned the Mojo HD3, HD4 which won the team Enduro World Championships, a very capable bike, and the not so pleasant HD5, when Ibis moves away from this HD series, the 6 wasn’t good, in favour of the Ripley I migrated to Yeti, fond memories of Ibis.
# What is the same on this Pro spec of the PR is the motor (the MS2 with peak 130Nm, 1500w).
Isn’t it the M2S motor?
Well looks like Tweed Valley Bikes is about to be raided by the gang that is attacking people with machetes and stealing bikes from people at Glentress…
Absolute scum they are
