I need a pad that is good in the wet and doesn't squeal. Longevity is not that important.
Do I need sintered or organic?

I have tried the red superstar pads and really didn't get on with them.
Must admit I didn't bed them in but might give them another go.
The clarkes ones are my faves but can't remember which ones I have or which ones I need.Posted 6 months ago # -
You have to bed any pads in AFAIK

For winter EBC sintered (gold), bloody excellent pads.

I have got the bedding in thing sorted now. I used to put pads in and ride couple of miles to the nearest big Hill and then panic stop all the way down. Now ride to Hill and change pads at top.
Think i shall be going for gold. Ta .Posted 6 months ago # -
another Vote for EBC here. (using green right now which are fine for what I do) Settled down much better for me than Clarks and Disco. (have had problems with those not working after unitended overheating)

The superstar red ones are very good but can be a wee bit squealy in the cold. And very sensitive to proper breaking in, which is a wee bit of a pain especially as they don't initiall feel like they need it.
