Who has used both and what are your opinions? Any advantage to shimano over X9

X9 is more of an XT equivalent.

SRAM more snappy and positive in the shift imo.

SLX is a bit cheap and plasticky IMO (based ont he shifters).

Both do the job well, SLX stuff really good value. The X9 rear mechs tend to wear very quicky at the main pivot where it attaches to the frame in my experience tho.

I decided I preferred Shimano so swapped the SRAM stuff off. I'll soon (when I get around to taking pictures etc) be selling a couple of X5 shifters, an X9 rear mech and a brand new SLX front mech (came as a pack) if anyone wants to swap the other way?
