Bust them tonight in the gym so need some replacements. They have the fwd/back/vol control thingy on them. Value-for-money more important than absolute sound quality as the shuffle’s normally worn in the gym or running although I wouldn’t complain if they were better than the original ones.

    Any recommendations?

    One of the buttonless shuffles?

Apple will replace them FOC: http://www.apple.com/support/headphones/replacementprogram/ It seems “under certain conditions” means “people who are using it as designed while they exercise, sweating on them”. Quickest way is to go to an Apple store if you have one nearby.

Belkin do a headphone adaptor if you did want some different ones: http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=496831 I’ve got one, prefer it as the button bit doesn’t flap about but I can have it by my hip instead. Or there’s the Scosche case that adds buttons on the outside: http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID1/210/sfID2/343/productID/1848 . Or buying a new one that actually has buttons on it aleady!

yep, it’s one of the buttonless ones.

I don’t think the FOC replacement is likely as I yanked one of the wires clean out of the earbud having got it tangled in the handle of the rowing machine.

    That case looks interesting.
