    Help? They won't budge, no matter how tight I pinch up the swingarm bolt. When I whack t'other side, the swingarm moves, but the bearings don't shift. Any ideas?

    sorry cant help but I would like to know myself, just got a Five in April and would like to pick up a few top tips on general do's and dont's with the bike to keep it running sweet..

    you are only drifting them of a small bit at a time, tighten one pinch bolt undo the other hit the undone side in the direction of the done side. then tighten the undone pinch bolt and undo the previous tightened one and hit back the other way. keep doing this repeating the process to walk the bearings off the axel.

    it does work and one you've done it you'll think my god that was easy!

    Thanks Dave, but the sods really aren't budging. I've had to call it a night, but intend to have another go tomorrow. I don't need the bearings to survive the process, I just want em' out so they can be replaced.

    You have removed the spacer that stops you overtightening the clamp, have you?
