I bet the bosses at Land Rover are laughing all the way to the bank. Think about it a RR sport is just a disco platform with a RR body on and they then charge more than the RR for it.
There are a lot of large 4X4 driven badly though not all just as there are a lot of mid size ex cars driven badly and for the recored i drive a large 4X4 but got it for its 7 seats and tend to drive quite slowly in it.

Range Rover Sport Drivers?

Falkirk-Mark - it also spends a lot of time in Alva...worryingly enough the only times I've seen it being driven is by a bloke - looks about mid-40s...I'm sure he is an owner of one of the bigger construction companies about that way...

Whenever I see those kind of large, flash SUV being driven aggressively (never seen one not being driven aggressively) I always assume that driver is too busy worrying about which of their loans they're going to pay a bit off this week and watching out for the repo man. It's quite understandable really, one must feel sorry for them.

I'm deliberately less likely to let somebody driving one of these in or out in front of me, because of their knobbish image.
Perhaps everybody else does the same and that's why they tend to be driven a bit knobbishly?

(with the exception of the sugar pink one i have seen in Bonnybridge).
Thats Jordons old car. Are you in the least bit surprised. It's now some rich chick from Westerwood that owns it. Even the leather in it is pink. Its disgusting!!

Money sure cannot buy taste

My 6 week old daughter is going for a day out in the back of Grandad's Range Rover Sport today, which is nice hope she doesn't barf over the upholstery, that said she seems to enjoy being in the back of my BMW, so I'm sure it will be fine.

Range Rover sport drivers definitely do not like getting overtaken by cyclists three times in a short space of time. Lots of revs to get back in front and then hug the pavement until the next set of lights and i am past again.
Of course the same is true of drivers in other types of car but a black RR sport with blacked out windows (gangsta) is the most memorable recent experiencePosted 2 years ago # -
These "Horrid" people who drive these machines keep me and 5000 others in a job at Solihull so I thank them and hope they enjoy their Sports. Very few of us are big bosses rolling in dosh.
Bad drivers are bad driver's - its not the car's fault that some nobs have got hold of them or are affected by them in a way that increases their nobishness.
They are great motors if a bit thirsty and I am quite proud that I have had abit to do with them and the Discovery over the years.

imp999 - love my disco fantastic motor, glad it is made by people that have a job in the uk. You should be proud.
There are some burkes in cars though.

There is a saying '95% of all land rovers made are still on the roads today' '5% made it home'

I had a RR Sport overtake me on a blind corner on a blind summit on the way back from work one day. It obviously thought it would crush any car coming the other way...
...unfortunately it obviously hadn't banked on a Hummer H1 coming in the other direction!
At least it didn't swerve - but it did brake VERY hard.
I almost fell off with laughter!

Yeah sure, itchy chin etc..

My dislike of RR sports stems mainly from that ad that seemed to suggest driving a huge 4X4 too fast through built-up areas gives the same sort of rush as zipping through trees on skis.
Car ads don't generally set me off but that one really annoyed me.

Great, monkeyp! Unfortunately, the Hummer was probably driven by an even larger male hen, so probably not much gained

RR's generally (sorry to generalise!) do seem to attract their fair share of "drivers" with low self-esteem trying to over-compensate for something.
That's my 2p worth.

OK, not quite the M27, somewhere between Poole and Baisingstoke, via the M27.
Thing is bad driving can be excused, we all make mistakes, and usualy after a close call we drive home at 5mph to change our pants. This guy/cock/girl just carried on repeatedly f**** up every few meters, before accelerating off again.

How odd.
Only this morning, a colleague & I were summising that the only word to describe your typical RR Sport driver has a CU' before the NT'.Posted 2 years ago # -
KINGTUT - you don't have to believe me, that is fine, but given the huge range of ridiculous cars driving around my part of Worcestershire it really isn't that surprising.
Said Hummer is often seen trying to negotiate it's way around the country roads around Romsley - at least it's huge spinners may help keep the hedges trimmed.
Friday evening in West Hagley is like a willy waving contest for those with expensive cars and daft personalised number plates

On my ride home tonight I got overtaken by three RR sports. Two of them gave me plenty of room, were keeping a good distance from the car in front and normally I wouldn't have given them a second thought if it hadn't been for this thread.
The third however was a different matter. I don't think he had pulled out at all to pass me, but that might have been because he hadn't seen me because he was so close to the people carrier in front i think he was pushing it.
I think it was the same gangsta I have noticed before, blacked out windows and personalised plates. So the conclusion of my extensive research is 1 in 3 range rover sport drivers is a nob.

Money does not afford you taste or dignity. Speaking of range rover sports and all of its type.. they're utterly pointless modes of transport really.
A large estate car or people carrier would do the people moving bit far better and you'd not be branded a drug dealing **** by the rest of the world.Posted 2 years ago # -

From what was left of the Range Rover I believe it was a Sport.Posted 2 years ago # -
im sure not every1 who has one is a bad driver
Yeah, but to be fair - their driving skills are often a bit rusty because the cars are usually at the dealership...Posted 2 years ago #
