    Hi,
Eyeing up an Inbred 29er, but confused by the different versions of the frame geometry shown on the On-one website.
On the pages of the older models available (Slot drop out and Swop out) they show geometry indicating there is an 18″ frame with an effective top tube length of 619mm. This would suit me perfectly.

But if you look at the geometry of the newer Inbred 29er, they seem to have added a 19.5 with an ETT of 619mm and made the 18″ shorter, down to 601mm ETT. Both the ‘new’ 18″ and 19″ look like they have a steeper HA too…but i’m getting a bit confused now.

In fact on the Inbred 29er Slot Dropout page they show BOTH versions of the geometry…

So has there been a change to the geo, or do On-one have the geo wrong on the website?
And in the humble STW opinion, if there is a difference to geo between models, which models geo works the best..
And finally, slot dropout – easy to get wheels in and out of or not?

I will go look at some drawings.
    I havent changed geometry.
Editing the geometry sections on the website is quite, quite awful. It’s a huge Csv file containing HTML for all models on both Px and OO sites. Nuts.

Just to hijack the thread (sorry julioflo), can I get a look at an Inbred 29er SS frame if I go to the showroom at R’ham? Will there be a 21 frame (whether single or not) that I can sling a leg over?
    Cheers

This is the correct geometry for all Inbred 29er models:-

154hopperavenue… I don’t think there are any 21in Inbred SS bikes built up. We do have a lovely XL Dirty Harry XTR built though 🙂

Cheers Brant, you make up the £2860 and you’ve got a deal mate 😉

Be good to get a feel for a 21in with similar geometry. I’ve got a 21in ’07 Clockwork at the moment. I’ll try and compare the figures with those above.

    Thanks Brant.
Means that the 18″ is a bit shorter than I was hoping for, although very close to an 18″ scandal which I used to ride and was perfect, and can’t believe I need a 19.5″.
The 18″ looks about the same length as a mates Specialised Carve – will go and ride that around a bit more to see…

Currently ride a large Cannondale Rush, 625mm ETT i think. But run an 80mm stem for racing, 60mm stem for general trail riding. It’s plentry long enough, possibly too long.

FWIW, I’m 5’9″ (30″ IL) & was (I felt), right at the bottom end of the range of the 18″ I had, even with a 50mm stem. Was ok till things got steep or too technical. I’d say an 18″ would be nicely chuckable. 🙂
