  • Old cast iron radiators – Worth anything?

I have two old 9 column cast iron radiators. They are not Victorian ones, but the building they came from were built in 1924, so they are quite old. They have been in use until a few weeks ago , so are still 100% functional.
Any ideas what they are worth and how I could go about selling them appreciated.

People pay a small fortune for them, "fake" ones are currently selling for hundreds a piece so I'm sure you'll have no problems recouping some readies.

There are a lot on ebay. You might find someone local looking for them.

My in-laws house has the complete Victorian CH system in it, but a modern boiler is being used to feed the rads.

I'd have them if they are nice enough. Prob is you can't post them.

Better to look up reclamation specialists nearby- offer to sell them to them if they collect and dont listen to any 'not really in demand' bollocks as they mark them up heavily in their shop after a wire brush and quick paint with aredite paint…..

as they mark them up heavily in their shop after a wire brush and quick paint with aredite paint…. investing in and holding large amounts of stock and building the customer base that you don't have.

Depends what they are and if they work after being recOnnected. If they leak and they’re pig iron they’re not worth fixing

If anyone has any about 1.4-1.8m long 400-800mm high cast iron rads in the Bristol/SW area I’ll take em off your hands 🙂 Just doing up my flat to rent so I can put as much money as I can into my business and trying to give it some ‘wow factor’.

Although it does seem like a case of form over function to take out some new modern rads for the sake of making it look nice. Even have one still in the box ready to go on the wall.
