I have changed my wheels this weekend & swaped the rotors from the old wheels on to the new wheels.

Everything seemed fine with no rubbing however once out riding for a while they began to make a really loud squeeling noisy & virbration whenever braking.

Does anyone know what would cause this? Could it be due to overtightening of the rotor bolts? or something else.

    Any tipe/advice greatly appreciated.

Hi take the pads out and try some copper slip on the back of the pad this can help sometimes.

Could be contaminated discs / pads if you've had your oily fingers all over them. Maybe clean off the rotors with isopropyl alcohol or something?

V brakes: as quiet as a kitten walking on soft snow…

If you try copperslip, use only the smallest smear as it can melt onto the pad surface, car brakes get hot enough to burn it off but bike brakes won't.

Check the discs are on the right way round (should be a small arrow on each brake, and the rotor arms will normally sweep forwards.

Its common sense don't get any copper slip on the pad surface, if you do get some brake cleaner from Halfords.
