First ride today on my new Fargo.
Frame courtesy of Greg May, the rest is a pretty standard mix of SLX & 105..
Gonna take some minor tweaks, but yeah, I like.

I think more people should move over to bikes like this instead of pretending they need a knarpoon to ride on piss easy trails.

If it had proper drop bars on I’d be all for it, but it seems to have those dreadful wide splayed ladies things on.

King cage with the tool pouch seems like a great idea too.

dreadful wide splayed ladies things on.

Crikey stop trying to be a **** will you.
    They’re not even that wide.

It’s genetic I’m afraid, but I still like proper drops rather than those bars. Other than that I like it a lot and would love to build something similar.

With more manly narrow bars no dought. 😉

Needs a bigger chainring, otherwise 10 out of 10 IMO. Lovely.

Given that Teetosugars shoulders are further apart than most folks, he probably considers them to be narrow bars.

    And I like it Nick.

I like drops, and raced some mountain bike races in the 90’s with them, but can’t get on with those flared out things.

    I’m odd. 🙂

Nowt wrong with that, all you need indeed for most regular trails, and can do other roles too as most Fargo owners will vouch,
I too had a Fargo, found it a bit harsh a ride unladen- though to be fair it was probably the ridged Halo rims i used, but a lovely finish frame set.

Funny the whole build has ended up on another Karate Monkey- a drop bar 29er commuter/roughstuff/shopping/pub bike etc idea- but defo a bit more of a springy ride. Bell Lap drops for the purists 🙂

    A Surly Fargo 😆

In principle yes – kind of a stout cross bike thingy.

However – for reasons purely of aesthetic taste that riser stem & stack of spacers abortion on the front leaves a bit of a taste. A frame with a bigger headtube is what sir needs (or a new back that still folds).

    lovely…

I came to realise over the winter that I have just as much fun on my second hand crosser as I have on my 3k mtb, perhaps more.

Don’t know if that is an old model or new model frame but you can run the new ones with front sus:

I’d have it if it was at least a reasonable weight.

@singlespeedstu you assume everyone can physically ride/beat themselves up on ‘lets be minimal’ crap?

I loved my singlespeed Chameleon. My body suffered.
