First ride today on my new Fargo.
Frame courtesy of Greg May, the rest is a pretty standard mix of SLX & 105..
Gonna take some minor tweaks, but yeah, I like.
It’s genetic I’m afraid, but I still like proper drops rather than those bars. Other than that I like it a lot and would love to build something similar.
Nowt wrong with that, all you need indeed for most regular trails, and can do other roles too as most Fargo owners will vouch,
I too had a Fargo, found it a bit harsh a ride unladen- though to be fair it was probably the ridged Halo rims i used, but a lovely finish frame set.
Funny the whole build has ended up on another Karate Monkey- a drop bar 29er commuter/roughstuff/shopping/pub bike etc idea- but defo a bit more of a springy ride. Bell Lap drops for the purists 🙂
In principle yes – kind of a stout cross bike thingy.
However – for reasons purely of aesthetic taste that riser stem & stack of spacers abortion on the front leaves a bit of a taste. A frame with a bigger headtube is what sir needs (or a new back that still folds).
