   After a decent volume mud tyre with a sensible carcass that I can run tubeless. Something around the 2.3, 800g mark. An LUST Swampthing would be perfect but they don't do 'em.

   Single ply non-tubeless + goop will be too pinchflat prone.

   Anything to consider before I give in and buy a dual ply 2.35 Swampy and tubeless it up? (although according to Next Day Tyres the 2.5 DP UST version is lighter than the 2.35 non-UST????)

   I've had pinch flat issues with other tyres but none with swampthings (set up tubeless) in 2.35. Worked fine all of last winter in the lakes, peaks and lanc hills.

   Wire bead, single ply swampy 2.35 run tubeless on stans flows, sealed and inflated really easy with a track pump, more grip than a dirty dan but also added rolling resistance

   Single-ply Swampthing 2.35 runs fine tubeless on my Flows. The carcass is stiffer than the TubeLess Ready XR4s I use the rest of the year so I wouldn't worry about pinch flatting.

   Aye, I'd go with standard singleply swampy from what you describe- there's a lot of rubber in those, which is why they come in a wee bit overweight for their size but the tradeoff is useful sometimes. Not really the biggest fan personally but it fits what you describe.

   But, be quick, they're discontinued and starting to go out of stock.

   Single ply swampys on flows here.

   I've tried really hard to pinch/slash/dent my set-up. Locations have involved wharney riding DH, typical peaks riding so descents like jacobs ladder and a few other like it, so lots of jagged, loose rock to catch you out. Was also sessioning a rock garden saturday, with some good jaggedy bits, going faster and faster through it, seeing how fast i could go till i fell off or the bike broke, didn't reach either, no problems.

   I am 12.5 stone, run the front at 28psi, rear at 30psi (i don't get why people go really low pressures tubeless, but that's for another time).
