Is there a cheaper alternative to these? £6.99 for six stickers seems pretty scandalous.

Yeti_575_038 by PeterPoddy, on FlickrDoesn't work on all frame designs, but for the ones it fits, it's pretty much unbeatable.

+1 for PeterPoddy's zip tie and plastic hose here. Works an absolute treat.
BTW the paint on that Yeti sure is thick...Shame the paint on my Wolf Ridge rubs off if you so much as look at it.

Thanks all. It's for my tarty summer bike so i don't really want to use insulation tape, vain i know. Is heli tape thick enough to last any length of time under cables?

Well, i've just ordered some heli-tape from Jamie's link so i'll find out.

Park self adhesive puncture patches work for me.

I like that hose and cable tie idea! Shame I would have to disconnect a hose to do it though. Maybe some strong tape wrapped round a few times and a cable tie would work.

andyl - use a cable tie instead of the plastic tube

I use electrical tape. Ghettotastic

It can be done with a zip tie instead of the tubing, but that's the only disadvantage: having to take the cables off. I do it when I build the bike.

You can use the plastic tube the other way around to clamp the hose, as shown in this thread
