  • Knocking/squeak from front end – headset service?

    My front end has become noisy over the last couple of rides. I serviced the hubs fairly recently & the forks (Vanilla R's) were serviced at the LBS last month. With the front brakes on there is a slight knock turning the bars left & right (front/back is OK). The hubs are XT & have no play if I put them in the rear wheel dropout & tighten up the QR. The headset is a Chris King, about 4 years old & I haven't serviced it.
    Is it easy?
    Are special tools required?
    How do I do it?
