As above, really! Looking for a nice spot to while away an hour or two with a decent coffee, Wifi a bonus. Would prefer an independent, quality place if you can recommend one.
Somewhere equidistant between Central and Charing Cross stations, if possible. Oh, and any decent bike or ski shops to have a nose around while I'm there?

Mixed reviews on the service, but the building is defo worth a gander.

Aye willow tea rooms is OK, cafe at Kelvingrove museum is nice, and great surroundings too, and only an extra five min walk.
The lighthouse on mitchell lane is good for a wander around, and has a very pleasant cafe.
Try Tiso Great Outdoors, combines nice coffee shop with bike and outdoor stuff, then wander round to Dales. Not quite the area your in but only a brisk 15 minutes walk in the Glasgow sunshine (yes it really is sunny). Dales is on Dobbies Loan and Tiso is just round the corner on Baird street (up by Glasgow caledonian university)

2 minutes from Central Station
If you want a really good coffee I'd go to Artisan Roast although I don't know Glasgow well enough to know where it is in relation to the stations and I'm on ancient IE at work so I can't use their site properly. I am a regular at their Edinburgh cafes and like to think I know a good espresso when I taste one 
If you want modern / swish designery rather than rennie mackintosh, then Citizen M is pretty good, decent coffee, quiet enough to have a meeting etc. Not a million miles from where you want it.
Nevisport still exists on sauchiehall street and Monkey Sleeps is favoured by the couriers etc. Enjoy
Peckhams or cafe gandolfi in merchant city . About 5 mins walk from central station
I'm siting in tiso typing this, drinking a forgettable coffee. Faves for me (in the area where yiu are) are cafe wander, the butterfly and the pig, and where the monkey sleeps. The cafe at the top of the lighthouse is good too, if you can find it. Along and near bath st heading towards charring cross you'll have lots of choice
The rig bike shop 143 west regent st is handy for where you are, you might find it a bit hoxton for your tastes though. Or not.
Where the Monkey Sleeps has the best sandwiches in Glasgow.
