I bought a Magicshine light in June and it’s developed a fault where it cuts out after a few minutes.

I’ve emailed DX and they have asked if I can get it repaired ‘in local shop’ and they will fund the repair.)
This is rather strange but it actually might work out quicker than getting a replacement (or maybe they have no stock to provide a replacement.

Anyway does anyone know where I can get the thing repaired?

Does it fully cut out? Or does it just go very dim?

Mine have had this problem, I just fiddled about with the tailcap switch and got them working again.

Do they know how what hourly wages are like in this country?

I’d get a quote from troutie for a start, but I cant really see how DX would pay for the repair as it will work out dearer than a new light from them? Worth a go though all the same. Please let us know how you get on.

Or tell them £30 odd quid and buy a new one from them 😉

It completely cuts out but it goes back on again as soon as the switch is pressed.

    I shall perhaps email troutie.
