I’m using Shimano Degreaser, seems to do the job just as well as Park Tools Citrus Degreaser/Weldite Citrus Degreaser. The Shimano Degreaser was cheaper too!

I find the weldtite cutrus stuff really good. I only got a small sample bottle but just a couple of squirts seems to get rid of the worst off the drivetrain.

And The blue-works (WD40 company) aerosol stuff is crap, seems to take ages to work, then the resulting gunk seems to reppel water and not wash off! The silicone/PTFE lube I got with it is good though, even chainlube doesn’t stick to it!

Hope Sh1tshifter for ‘general’ use. Halfords Citrus for properly cleaning a chain.

I’m sure you can pick up citrus much cheaper but Halfords is easy.

After using several different ones I’ve settled on the Fenwicks foaming degreaser and chain sponge which works really well!

While you’re there forget eh faggotty citrus crap and get a can of Gunk Green. I use it neat for real grime jobs, or dilute it 5 to 1 in a spray bottle to use as a general bike cleaner.

pedros orange peelz 🙂 smells lovely!

(and gunk for my road bike’s annual clean – since I have to use loads and it is cheaper)

I’ve been using that green oil chain de-greaser. Absolute rubbish.

Swarfega concentrate from Halfords, costs the same as 1 litre of Muc Off and makes 250 litres.

Finish Line Multi is the best I’ve used. Not cheap, though.

Bought a can of this in 1987 when I bought my first mountain bike, still using the original stuff
