Just to clarify, I don't think I ever said the Alpine was overkill for the UK. But I did say the Prince Albert would be a better option than an Alpine for someone who will do the majority of their riding in the UK and doesn't want to run more than a 140mm travel fork.
Chunky, is that Ash from tA's old Alpine EBB frame?
There is one more in existence with Ali from tA which has never been built up. Should be getting it back when he's next in my area.

Sorry mike, that did come out wrong the way I wrote that!
You were purely saying that if I was doing a bit more XC the PA would of been slightly more suited! I read what a few people were saying and they said that the PA was an absolutely awesome bike, but wasnt quite as slack as some out there, that's why I didn't go for one as from what they said the geo is very close to what I have currently? Big up to mike though, such a helpful chap!
Where you think of the name "Prince Albert" mike? lol.
