Lucky I did a search on here on coil shocks as I was about to ask questions that seem to have been covered already.

I did Fort William's orange on my Alpine 160 on Saturday and just felt the standard suspension (RP23 and 36 Talas) was struggling a little (or maybe I was struggling, not the bike! I was immediately temped to get a DH rig (a mint 224 just went on eBay for £1400!) but have decided a quality coil spring might assist when doing downhill tracks.

I just looked up TF and pushing as I've never heard of it but can see that a pushed Van R is probably my best bet.

I trust this will make my Alpine feel a little happier on fast, steep ground and so hopefully I will too.
