Did a search and found nowt (maybe me being a biff like)
But came across this on Bikeradar http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300366771975 I have ordered one as it looks well worth a punt from the footage I have seen.

it looks identical to the muvi camera which is already a bit of a bargin, i've just got one on that basis, fingers crossed it is what it seems
Posted 2 years ago # -
It is a Muvi camera apparently (should have mentioned that doh)

That looks pretty good for the tiny amount of cash - might have to give it a whirl. Does anyone know what kind of memory cards it takes? I notice in the listing that, "TF card no included" (sic).
Pretty sure there's no such thing as a TF card....

i think it's a micro sd
Posted 2 years ago # -
The image on the listing labels it "Micro SD card Slot"
looks worth a punt I reckon....
Posted 2 years ago # -
Sorry - re-read the listing and yes, it is a micro SD - up to 8GB. Well, I took the leap and bought one. Thanks to monkeychild for helping me spend money
I then got an email telling me it'll be 25 days before I receive it. Bah!
Off to buy a card now....

£2.89!!! thats unbelievable, maplin do the same one for £49 i think.
Posted 2 years ago # -
looks same as this and pretty good review.Muvi Camera
Posted 2 years ago # -
£14.99 and in the UK (allegedly)

This guy I whos ebay store I linked to is legit. BR folk have received theirs from him. Apparently it works best with type 6 cards

I gave one of those cameras to Leggyblonde as a birthday pressie.
It works well. Comes with some awesome mounts that you can clip onto bars etc. Although gets a lot of vibration if mounted to the bike.Impressive camera and is voice activated to so you can shout 'ACTION'!
Micro SD.Posted 2 years ago # -
haha, shout action!
for the sake of £13 i might take a dab on one.
Posted 2 years ago # -
I've just ordered one, worth a punt. Cheers!
Posted 2 years ago # -
ditto.
Do we reckon the sound activation would work with heavy breathing, grunting or squelchy noises?
Im just asking.....

Best/cheapest place to get a good memory card for it? Ebay?
Posted 2 years ago # -
NOT ebay. I had to threaten a guy who sold me a fake sony mem stick with the fuzz to get a prompt refund without me sending his junk back to him.

I got my Samsung 4GB one here - good bunch. Having read the review linked to earlier, I wonder if I need a faster card though? There don't seem to be many non-SDHC cards available.... And those I can find don't often quote a 'level' which the SDHC ones mostly do..
EDIT; just done a spot of googling and it seems likely that any device supporting up to 8 GB will use SDHC cards..... I think....

just bought one, figured it was worth a £15 punt. hopefully that Ebay Camera Uk link is actually in the UK and it'll turn up before chrimbo.

Just ordered one too.
Bargain !!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted 2 years ago # -
Not wanting to put a downer on this but i bought a camera that looks just like that off an ebay seller.
Turned out to be a very cheap/crap copy of the Muvi camera.
The switches on it aren't the best and you cant see the LED's that tell you what it's doing in sunlight. Though you can see them when you're indoors.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Anyone want to buy it?
Cheap like.
Posted 2 years ago # -
stu - what was the output like? was it the stated 720x480 @ 30fps?
Posted 2 years ago # -
bollocks....ive just bought one. Ah well.
But whats the video like?
Posted 2 years ago # -
What was the ouput like?
Without getting too technical.
It's a bit crap like on account of you don't know if it's filming or not.
If I get time tomorrow I'll film something with it and put it up on Flickr so you can see for yourself.

bollocks
my thoughts exactly
where were you Explosion In a Spaghetti Factory when this thread started?
Posted 2 years ago # -
There's a fair few sample vids on BR showing pretty good quality vids - but only once a top-notch card is used. Lots of folk saying that the cheapy cards are too slow to cope, thus cr@ppy, stop-start vids.
EDIT;this looks like a pretty good card for the cash - under a tenner for the 8 GB version
Posted 2 years ago # -
It's not the quality of the video that's the problem with the one i have.
It's just that you can't tell if it's turned on or not.
Which is quite a major problem .....
Oh Chunky.
i was having a life when this thread started.

Bike Radar - it's in Forums > Mountain biking > Buying Guides

Looks to me like the original link is a "Aee MD80". It maybe the same as the Muvi, or maybe the other way round according to:
Hopefully the product is genuine...
Posted 2 years ago # -
Any chance of a link to the sample vids - I cant find them.
Posted 2 years ago # -
It seems a lot is dependent on the speed of the SD card.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Ok ta - doesn't look tooooo bad. Be interested to know what it looked like before youtube.
