    Go, old people !

my dad had his 1st ever go on waterskis when he was over 70
got up OK, but he’s never had another go – maybe flash is right with his board after all 😯

I think maybe it’s inevitable at that sort of age

Wish I’d seen the flying instructors face when my uncle turned up for his first flying lesson at the ripe old age of 92….

What a top guy ! . Reminds me when I sometimes went out on the motorbikes with my uncle 20 years ago. Me on my RGV 250 and him on his Velocette. He didn’t hang about ethier. 95 now and still going strong ( although he doesn’t ride anymore)

He recently lost 3 stone one some iDiet or other and decided to give the skiing a go, having given up at about 65. Said he expected to feel a bit sore the following day but was fine! The photo was taken as he went through the wake from another boat. I once told him I’d done something he’d never done, mono-skied at 65mph in the sea – he just said, ‘I did that when you were three’…….

Wow – i’ll email that to my 65 year old nob iof a father in law who is too old to do anything…. oh no I won’t. He doesn’t use a computer because he is too old and doesn’t have the confidence!

You don’t stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing.
Credit and a great deal of respect to him.

Get him to text my 65 year old parents…

In all fairness they are ok. My almost 80 year old Auntie and Uncle used to walk at least 5 miles a day at a pace I struggled to keep up with in my 20s in the Dales until recently , when she had some hip problem or other. It seems you can keep on going into old age but when you have a problem it can all catch up with you pretty quickly 🙁

I’d suggest my 75 year old mother-in-law but there’d be little point as she never, ever, turns her mobile phone on (‘it wastes the battery’) even when she’s arranged to be somewhere and is already an hour late (‘Well, you knew I’d turn up eventually’).

    and breathe.

Had a guest last year. 91 years old and skied every day. Pretty awesome. We thought it was a typo on the booking form!
