For one night only….

Yes, we know its only going to be relevant for a few people, and it is quite short notice – but we want to show our support to the volunteer organisers of this summer race series thats local to one half of the editorial team.
We’ll be at the training this evening at Bethlem Royal Hospital with a bunch of stickers, cowbells and badges to give away. Supplies will be reasonably limited, so it’ll be first come first served.
As if free stuff wasn’t enough to get you there, the evening itself  is well worth a trip for novice and experienced riders alike – especially if you’re a bit rusty on the skills ahead of the race season. Expect to get some quality advice on general off road, drop bar riding technique and cross specific race skills. Tonights is actually the last session the London Summer Series volunteers are running this year, and takes place at a venue they have developed themselves over the last couple of years  and has become a real favourite amongst the local race community (its here, it’s signposted from the main entrance, but for reference, its near the woods in the north  east corner of the site).
All sessions are 7pm-9pm for riders 13+. U18s cost £3, and adults £6. British Cycling can lend a limited number of cyclo-cross bikes to women and U23 men if booked in advance here
And finally, if it turns up on time, we’ll be giving a pretty special test bike its first ride…. No doubt making a fool of ourselves in the process with rusty dismount technique and barrier smashing bunny hop skills – we can’t wait.
