What do you need for Discord? a microphone??

How many in each team? do we all have to finish together or is it first person from team over the line?

Just hit level 20 today. Need another 100,00 drops for the Trek Madone. My virtual garage is starting to look as clogged up as my real one!

Enjoyed reading the TTT posts. Makes me tired just thinking about one of those 😉

@mooman I run the discord app on my phone, in a mount on my bars. The phone mic would be sufficient but I use some Bluetooth headphones anyway that have a built in mic. You could probably run the app on a PC/laptop (as well as zwift) but not tried that personally as I use an iPad setup.

Up to 8 in a team and it’s the time of the 4th guy over the line that counts.

so what is the caddy’s pick for this weeks TTT course?

Prob the most aero road frame you have this week

Bumped my FTP in the Alpe race today from 277 to 292, so that should help on the flat this week!

I normally rock the Venge and 808s.

I reckon the Cat A riders should ride the mtb, Cat B the steel classic, Cat C a standard road bike and Cat D as aero as possible – help keep the group together whilst the faster riders still get a workout!

Venge and Meilenstein wheels for me. One positive from riding the Alpe!

Not sure if they are better than some of the Zipp or Enve offerings but they seem a bit “special” so I’m using them 🙂

Brutal 1st lap, then settled, missed a break about lap 7 and finished 11th on the road after a tough last lap

Woohoo! Got my first gold!! 🏆 😎

Only my second of those crit races – definitely my kind of race though… short lol 😂
Zwift gave me the cone of shame! I think only cos I was busting my gut to catch you guys up after I got dropped very early on. Settled down and my average according to ZP was 3.2 so didn’t get DQ’d after all! I assume you did tho @Weeksy as I can’t see you in the results?

Slight FTP bump too, only 2 watts though (to 247) but not complaining as been a long time since the last one!

ooooh a little Bronze next to my name on ZP! Said 4th on the Zwift results

    Happy with that..

1st ever Crit and it was short sharp tough fun.

Nice to see Team STW turn up and take 2 podium places….. 🙂

New FTP as well 🙂 283w

May yet get a DQ though as it says 3.4w/kg ave

Much prefer that way round the course missed the front group as predicted but pretty pleased to come in 11th on zp as that’s 4 laps longer than what I’ve done before. good work on the podium guys solid showing from STW.

I saw that cone of shame flash up does it do anything during the race isn’t it supposed to slow you down?

Another stupid turbo question. Having fitted a turbo tyre it’s a lot easier to pedal versus the standard tyre I had on, why? Also should a flat wear pattern develop on the turbo so quickly? How close to the roller should it be contact wise? There is a flat spot I need fixing on my wheel but bike shops aren’t open til next week. It’s only been on for 1.5 sessions of some HIIT sessions. It’s a Schawlbe Insider.
    Thanks

My Tacx blue did this almost instantly and then never got much worse

Just tight enough so that it doesn’t slip when you chuck the power down. Turbo tyre should slip less

Not sure if you’re all registered members so I’ll post here quickly but it looks like THE days of the TTT events from WTRL might be numbered.

There’s a spat with ZP over data use, WTRL have sent a mail this morning to ask people to confirm they’re happy for them to use their zwift power data. Reading between the lines it sounds like WTRL have been using the ZP data on the basis of their own privacy policy and the clause in ZP’s about handing the data to third parties without agreeing that usage with ZP.

I can’t see it working out in their favour of that’s the case but, any who, if you’re keen to give them what chance of success they have you’ll need to sign up to WTRL and I imagine you’ll get the same “please confirm its OK for us to use your zp data”.

Got DQ’d on last nights Crit…. Boooo!

    3.4w/kg average

    😂😂

So best enter into B for short flat races

    And D if it’s hilly 😂😂

Awwwww a little harsh if you ask me… you usually get away with that much.

The email from WTRL suggested its a spat with the zwift legal team rather than ZP. Another example of zwift shooting itself in the foot! Pretty much all race organisers transfer data off ZP to host results pages, especially when they run a series with different rules.

Anyway you need to create a profile on wtrl and complete the data transfer statement.

I’d like to think it’s more another case of the law is an ass. The legal obligations around data these days make a lot of this sort of thing very difficult.

    zwift legal team rather

Rereading that you’re right, which makes me think their chances are even slimmer – if zwift own the data ZP can’t just hand it off.

You only get 0.1 W/Kg allowance over categories since 1st May iirc.

No issue for me, I won’t be threatening 4.2W/Kg+ anytime soon, I’ve lost ~15W and gained 1.5Kg+ since my best effort before infection!

hopefully they’ll be able to use the data where people have confirmed it’s OK, and just ignore/delete data from teams who don’t. So make sure all STW members do it!! 😃

Did my first ramp test since december and my FTP has gone from 229 to 259, pretty pleased about that! On zwift at the moment I’m doing a mix of the Tour for All rides and then ticking off route badges inbetween. I did the Fondo training plan last month and it was good, although towards the end I was really just wanting to free ride for a bit!

Good effort, I know the ramp tests can be pretty daunting even if you’re using Zwift a decent amount
