I know STW loves a good shed thread, so here’s another 🙂
I need to improve my current man cave/bike store as it’s just not big enough. What I’m trying to figure out is how big I need it to be (size isn’t really an issue as we’ve plenty of space, but cost is so small as I can get way with I think). I would like to be able to to:
a) Store 6 (or so!) bikes
b) Store a camping trailer (Erde 122)
c) Have room to work on bikes
d) Have a turbo and/or some space for some weights.
I currently use the old brick built coal store/wash house that’s at the back of the house, it is approx 4m x 2.0m internal (at most, probably a bit smaller TBH). It’s damp, cramped and I can’t work on anything in there at the moment so have to stick a workstand up outside and hope it doesn’t rain.
So STW, what do we think is the smallest size structure that would meet my needs? And rough idea of the cost to build? The Mrs is likely to insist on it being brick, but I might be able to twist her arm on that 🙂
