Evening all, Been googling this and can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Does anyone know if the xt boost crankset has a bigger q factor than a non boost one? I'm thinking of putting a normal one one on a boost frame but worried about chainstay clearance.
I've not measured it but my boost xt crank doesn't feel or look any different to my none boost version.
Also a lot of cranks can be converted with a boost or none boost direct mount chainring.
I'm pretty sure it's only the chainline that's different.
You can also acheive the same chainline by putting the chainring on the outside tabs on a tripple XT crank.

The Boost standard is wider hubs, wider disc spacing, wider chainring spacing but normal bottom bracket width and Q factor.
What about front mechs with boost cranks? Is it just the side swing ones for the XT kit?
