Hi folks struggling to track down the correct direct mount s3 39 tooth bottom pull xo mech…will a shimano e2 do the same job? Cheers folks

I’ve switched between SLX and X0 FDs for 2×10 no problem. The ‘shift ratio’ is near identical for both make’s of shifter.

Any other SRAM S3 FD should be fine too. I’ve run XT E2 FDs in a SRAM 2x drivetrain for years without issue.

A Shimano E fit isn’t the same. I’ve got a spare SRAM one.. X9 maybe? I’ll dig it out. I swapped to an X0 on my Banshee thinking I’d save weight.. Ended up as about 3g in end.. Do’h!

Edit.. Not reading other posts properly.. E2 isn’t the same as E fit?

E2 isn’t the same as S3 or E… it’s a two bolt ‘low Direct mount’. Apologies if I confused anyone thinking I’d said it was, I intended to mean that it was compatible with the system and by extension other Shimano 2x mechs would be, not that it would fit the OP’s bike…
