Bought a laptop at the weekend with Windows 8 installed, my first impression was that it was terrible, but the more I use it the more I actually like it (after using classicshell to reinstate start button).

    Whats everyone else think?

As it came when it first came out, love it.

I was assessing it last year for our IT dept (since run away from IT to open a climbing wall) as an upgrade from XP and we decided to stay with windows 7 for the rollout as we hated it , seems a weird cobble together of a desktop and tablet OS.
It will be the way we all go, but I didn’t see the point of the whole touchscreen stuff as who wants to use a touchscreen on a desktop, or laptop IMHO.

Seemed to be Windows 7+, but with an odd skin on top.

So hate it in my few days of using it, but then again I bought a Mac at home so what do I know ?

Im used to not using the start button now, you can do stuff quicker without it

Love it – both on the hybrid tablet/laptop thingy and also the non-touchscreen desktop.

Very fast, very intuitive and stable as you like!

    Like it. Stable, fast, works.
Not perfect (mainly metro on non-touch = poor/average, metro apps seem crap)
