Bit of a daft question, but which BB to use with Sram crankset. I’ve always had either Hope or Shimano

The crankset is a new 12spd Eagle but no markings other than a 1 on the arms. The arms are alloy and spindle is defo thinner than the Hope 30mm

Will it be GPX or would a HT2 work?

    Cheers

Edit – crankset was about £65 from CRC bit no longer on their site

You can use a Hope, which one will depend on your BB shell, and their GPX adapter. It’s what I use.

You need to check if it’s gxp or dub. If the spindle is 24mm going down to 22mm on the non drive side then it’s gxp.

In which case cheapest option is a sram gxp bb – but Hope with a gxp adapter are meant to last longer. That said I got about 2 years out of my last gxp before it started creaking. So I just bought another one the same for about £20.

Okay so prob a GPX one then. Dont want to use Hope and adaptors

What size is DUB so I can check its not that one?

Nice one Simon. Its defo not that thick so will have to be GPX.

    Cheers
