That’s 7 months away. There’s always a new one just around the corner, and you have no idea it’ll include any of those features.
So it’s seven months away, so what? Surely it’s better to wait the seven months and get the next full redesign of the phone rather than the intermediate version which is what the current one is.
Every tech analyst is giving consistent details on what they’re certain the next top of the range iPhones will have, based on supply chain info, and it appears most likely that it’ll be waterproof to IP68, have an OLED screen, glass front and back with curved edges, a stainless steel frame like the iP4/4s, which will reduce costs and is easier to manufacture, plus it’ll be more rigid and less prone to flexing like aluminium, strong possibility of facial recognition for security, this is already built into iOS and OS X, a touch home button under the glass, no moving parts, like the IP7s already has, and possibly wireless charging, Apple has already purchased a company with this tech.
A very quick Google will give details on the various supply chain sources to back this up, plus it’ll be ten years since the first iPhone hit the market, so it’ll be a significant point in time to do a total revamp of the phone.
My iP6+ is well over two years old, but still working fine, I’d have to be bloody daft to go for a few relatively small changes and get the current version rather than wait a few months for a phone that I won’t have to worry about getting wet when I’m outdoors, and will likely have even better camera technology than the current phones.
