  • Wheel bearings ~ Ceramic or Stainless?

I need to replace some wheel bearings, one hope wheel, one novatec. I’ve noticed these:

They seem a good price for the stainless and the ceramics are the same as the stainless at say crc. Any experience of the ceramics? Worth the extra?

You get what you pay for. If its cheap there is a reason why. Roadies like ceramic as they do spin a bit better but they don’t seem to last long when used in crappy conditions compared to standard bearings.

Ceramic for me. Purely for longevity. Can’t say I have noticed the extra 3watts or minuscule weight saving but every little helps.

    What normally kills your bearings?

@hadge any suggestions of where to buy?
