What would you buy!

I’ve been looking at buying a new mountain bike these are my choices that I’ve got it down to:

1 Santa Cruz high ball 29er
2 Ragley Bigwig 29er
3 Cube Reaction 29er

Are you asking which is the least worst? because the Best Choice would obviously be a 26er 😡

What were your requirments? As your list is quite varied.

6 Kona Taro (2014 looks a better spec))
7 Canfield Nimble9 or Yelli
8 etc etc..

Park all those, and take a look at the Kenesis Maxlight Sync.

Buy the cube great spec for the price then 6 months you’ll know if you like/dislike 29er
Go buy the highball frame and swap it all over and sell of your cube frame.
That would have be my choice if I hadn’t already got a 29er and found It not my cup of tea.

Though the Highball was the only one in my list that you’ve included.
TBH the Ragley’s a tad lardy (like the High Lat) but might have more ‘feel/give’ than the ali Cube/HB, for me they were too staid geo wise (spec ain’t everything).

Maybe the Highball if pushed, or maybe the Ragley.. even now, I’m not sure what I’d choose again. It’s ‘ard to pick a winner, and test rides aren’t always that easy to get!

Thank you for you’re excellent advice, but I’m afraid this time I’m going to ignore it. My post was simply a comment on the often fruitless “what xxxx should I buy” posts that are so common here. What socks. What arse grease. What stem. What screwdriver. What tyre. If people find it difficult to assimilate information and come to a decision without the often misplaced advice of the collective then I bow down.

Buzz1110 good luck with your quest, but you now have extra eight bikes to consider due to the advice given to you. I’d still have a Santa Cruz, wanted one for about 25 years but never had the spare money.

I’d wait for a Santa Cruz 650b hard tail. Surely got to be one soon. If you want bigger wheels that is.
