  • What size chainring on your 1×10 or 1×11 29er?

    So that’s about my options? Change the front ring to a smaller 30t or something and lose out on the big 36 with 11 combination or use one of the 40 or 42t expander rings at the rear?
    I generally manage with my 36 11-36 range but on the fast long steep stuff at the end that extra easier gear would be lovely!
    What do you all think before I press the buy it button?

    Anyone though some information/advise on the 40t expander gear for my 36 11-36 set up as above!
